Welcome to the Asian Oncology Nursing Society (AONS)

On behalf of the Executive Committee and member societies across the region, it is my distinct privilege to welcome you to the official website of the Asian Oncology Nursing Society (AONS). Established on November 21, 2013, by leaders from ten founding Asian countries and regions, AONS was born from a shared vision to elevate oncology nursing standards and advance cancer control throughout Asia.

Today, our region faces critical healthcare challenges driven by a rapidly aging population and a steep rise in cancer incidence. AONS addresses these issues by developing culturally competent, holistic strategies across the entire continuum of care—from prevention and education to long-term survivorship and palliative care. We embrace the rich diversity of Asian cultures, emphasizing patient empowerment and the harmony of mind and body.

To drive evidence-based practice and research, AONS proudly features the Asia-Pacific Journal of Oncology Nursing (APJON) as our official peer-reviewed journal. APJON serves as a premier international platform, connecting researchers and clinicians globally to disseminate high-quality oncology nursing knowledge, clinical guidelines, and innovative care practices.

No single nation can tackle the burden of cancer alone. AONS provides the platform where Asia’s oncology nursing community speaks with one collective, powerful voice.
